JSU STAENBERG HOUSE
A DREAM OF BRINGING JSU
UNDER ONE ROOF
Throughout its 21+ years of its existence, JSU of St. Louis operations and club programming has required renting venues and sharing spaces with other organizations. Shabbat and holiday programming has depended on host families for dozens of teens or space at a local synagogue, which projects a denominational affiliation or alliance.
In July of 2022, JSU purchased a home in University City to serve as the organization’s operations and programming headquarters. A home for JSU represents more than a working space; it creates a safe destination for Jewish teens to come together, a space to learn, share, and grow as the next generation of communal leaders building and strengthening our community while nurturing our young people.
Thanks to leadership gifts from a handful of JSU friends and partners we have raised a significant portion of our $1.5 million goal for the purchase, renovation, and expansion of JSU’s new home.
At this time, we seek additional support to complete this important effort.
